Road to Team USA!
The Fond du Lac Blades Junior Team needs your help! We are a synchronized figure skating team based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, with team members from around the state.
Synchronized skating is a popular discipline both within U.S. Figure Skating and around the world. It is a team sport in which 8-20 skaters perform a program together, combining skill, precision, speed, and grace. While not yet as well-known as some other skating disciplines, synchronized skating is one of the fastest growing ice sports in the world. There are approximately 525 synchronized teams registered with U.S. Figure Skating, and nearly 5,000 athletes participate annually in the synchronized skating sectional championships.
Top-performing teams at the highest (junior and senior) levels of the sport have the opportunity to earn a berth to the U.S. Synchronized Skating Team, or TEAM USA. The Fond du Lac Blades have been named as one of only six junior level teams in the country being considered for TEAM USA in the 2016-17 competition season. If chosen, we would have the opportunity to represent the United States in international competition where we would compete alongside international teams from around the world. This would be a tremendous honor, and the culmination of a dream for many of our skaters and coaches.
But dreams can be expensive, and we need your help! Your donations will be used to defer some of the costs of preparing for and participating as a TEAM USA program. We are very appreciative of contributions in any amount to help our girls realize their dream. Thank you!

Thank you to the Johnsville Company for your sponsorship of the Blades Organization!
In the 2015-2016 season our Junior Team was selected as Team USA and offered a chance to compete at the Neuchatel Trophy in Neuchatel Switzerland alongside teams from Finland, Russia, Switzerland, and Italy. Our girls skated strong and brought home the bronze medal for the United States. We'd like to thank the donors who helped make our dream a reality!
